DigiAsh – Driving Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship in Ashanti
The DigiAsh – Ashanti Digi-Reintegrate Programme is an 8-week entrepreneurship and digital transformation initiative designed to support returnees and women in the Ashanti Region to build sustainable, income-generating businesses through practical digital and business skills training.
Implemented by HapaSpace Innovation Hub, the programme combines hands-on training, mentorship, coaching, and financial readiness support to help participants transition from informal business activities into structured and digitally enabled enterprises.
The project responds to key challenges faced by many returnees and vulnerable entrepreneurs, including limited access to finance, weak business management systems, and low digital adoption. Through practical and participatory learning approaches, participants are equipped with tools to improve visibility, customer engagement, bookkeeping, and business growth.
What Participants Learn
Participants undergo a 5-day intensive training followed by structured mentorship and coaching. Key focus areas include:
- Inclusive digital entrepreneurship
- WhatsApp Business and digital marketing
- Content creation and online visibility
- Financial literacy and bookkeeping
- Business formalisation and financial readiness
- Leadership, communication, and reintegration support
The programme also integrates practical digital tools such as WhatsApp Business, TikTok, Google Business, Oze, and Built Lite to help entrepreneurs manage and grow their businesses more effectively.
Mentorship and Financial Linkages
Beyond training, participants receive ongoing mentorship and coaching support, including business plan development and financial readiness guidance. Through HapaSpace’s partnership with Pan-African Savings and Loans, eligible participants are connected to affordable financial products and responsible borrowing opportunities.
