As part of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration (2026), hapaSpace hosted the Women in Tech for Business Growth training under the Digi-Equal Africa Mentorship Programme, in partnership with CODE – Coalition for Digital Equality.
The session brought together women-led businesses to explore practical digital tools that can help improve their visibility, strengthen customer engagement, and support business growth in the digital economy.
The event featured a panel discussion titled “From Visibility to Opportunity: How Digital Tools and AI Are Accelerating Growth for Women-Led Businesses.” During the discussion, the panellists shared valuable insights on how women entrepreneurs can use digital platforms to expand their businesses and connect with more customers.
The panel included Gloria Akuamoah Boateng and Dora Naana Addotey, and was moderated by Philipina Beatrice Appiah. The discussion focused on the importance of digital visibility, effective customer communication, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in business operations.
Following the panel discussion, participants took part in a hands-on training session facilitated by Naomi Kokuro. The session introduced practical tools that entrepreneurs can use immediately in their businesses, including Google Business Profile, Canva for marketing design, and AI tools for digital marketing.
Participants also explored ways to improve customer engagement through platforms such as WhatsApp Business and learned how AI tools can support tasks such as writing marketing captions, generating business ideas, and responding to customers more efficiently.
The training marks the beginning of a mentorship journey designed to support women entrepreneurs as they strengthen their digital skills and apply these tools to grow their businesses.
Through initiatives such as the Digi-Equal Africa Mentorship Programme, hapaSpace continues to support entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to thrive in today’s digital economy.
