Thrive Acceleration Program (2023–2024)

The Thrive Acceleration Program, implemented from August 2023 to April 2024, was designed to provide tailored support to early-stage startups in Ghana. As part of HapaSpace’s mission to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the programme focused on equipping founders with the critical tools needed to refine their business models, improve operations, and secure market access.

A total of 20 startups participated in the programme, receiving personalised mentorship, investor readiness training, and business development support. Through one-on-one sessions with seasoned industry professionals, startup founders were guided in areas such as financial planning, branding, product-market fit, and customer acquisition. This personalised approach ensured that each venture addressed its specific growth challenges.

In addition to mentorship, participants were trained to become investor-ready. Workshops and simulations helped them build compelling pitch decks, articulate their business value clearly, and gain the confidence needed to engage potential funders. Startups also benefited from curated business development opportunities, allowing them to better position their products and services for the market.

Impact Highlights:

  • 10 out of the 20 startups successfully secured access to new markets or business partnerships.
  • Participants gained clarity and confidence in their growth strategy, with several reporting increased customer engagement and revenue.
  • The programme created a ripple effect in the startup community, showcasing the power of tailored acceleration models.

Funded by the World Bank Group and delivered in partnership with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), the Thrive Acceleration Program reinforced HapaSpace’s role as a key enabler of youth-led innovation in Ghana.
