Kumasi Entrepreneurs community meetup 8th Edition 8th June 2017 – Understanding the Labour Law 2003 (Act 651) for the Effective handling of  Labour- Employer relationship and issues

The monthly meetup for the Kumasi Entrepreneurs was held on the 8th of June 2017. Mc for the event Ama Duncan of The Fabulous Woman Network introduced the resource person for the meetup Mr. Ernest Badu Boateng from the Incas Labour and Pension Consult.

The theme for his talk was, “How to build a solid, cordial and mutually beneficial relationship”.

His lecture centred on how the entrepreneur can understand the Labour Laws and how to take advantage of it to grow their businesses and survive in relation to its stakeholders especially employees. He further went on to provide advice based on the laws as to the kind of workers to engage base on the business module.

Mr. Badu Boateng admonished that, whether you will have to employ full time or part time, an entrepreneur has to go through to understand and make the employee understand as well the rights and duties of employer/employees, conditions of employment, employment of women, physically challenged and young persons.

He concluded that it is key as an entrepreneur to take seriously these Labour Laws; Compensation protection, trade unions / employers organizations rights and Collective Agreement on national Labour. View the footage of this event.
