July Kumasi Konnect came off at hapaSpace

The 6th Edition of Kumasi Konnect, a quarterly meetup initiative by the Ghana Think Foundation  came off  at hapaSpace on Thursday, 9 June 2016.  The purpose of Kumasi Konnect is to provide a platform for young energetic and innovative minds in Kumasi. This event series seeks further to commune the network built out of Barcamp Kumasi.  
The main speaker for this edition was  Sarfowaah Evelyn (aka Mrs. Evelyn B.A Dadzie).  She spoke on the topic “Building a Budding Business”. She shared her journey of how she built her make-up business from a shoestring budget.  She emphasised the importance of being customer focused, being on time for appointments, providing additionals services at no additional cost to exceed custom expectations as well as not giving up when the going gets tough.

About the speaker

Evelyn had her basic education at St. George’s Int.Sch; her senior high school education was at Angel Senior High and furthered her career aspirations in the health sector by training to become a nurse at Community Health Nursing Training in Sunyani. Currently, she works as a nurse in Kenyasi, Brong Ahafo Region but is primarily based in Kumasi.

Her penchant for entrepreneurship led her to start her business as a MAKEUP artist a few years ago, with brand name PrettyFACES MAKEUP by Safoa. Evelyn is passionate about creating opportunities for others and as such agreed to share her story as a wife, nurse and business woman. Evelyn is simply awesome!
